Saturdays heat rounds were held at Dolphin point and enjoyed a few good size waves in the morning but the swell decreased throughout the day. Finals were surfed on Sunday at Mollymook beach just north of the reef. Morning heats were nice and clean with good lefts and rights if you were on the right spot.
Although not big the swell had a fair punch to it and even flogged one of the semi finals on the paddle out. Ray made use of the bigger conditions and dispayed his variety of power surfing combined with stylish nose rides.
